Did you know that? Eating after 8:00 PM does not make you fat?

Yes Ladies! You guys hear it right. A bar of Milka Oreo chocolate does not make you fat after 20:00. What might make you fat is what you have eaten the rest of the day.

It’s very simple: if you eat more than you consume, you’ll gain weight (energy surplus). If you eat less than you consume then you lose weight (energy shortage). If you consume just as much energy as you consume, you will not gain weight. This is the energy balance. However, it is the question of how much energy you need. We measure that energy in kilocalories (calories). The energy needs you might need can vary. It depends on gender, length, age, weight, how much he or she moves and the heaviness of the effort.

Circumstances from the environment may also play a role. For example, you will need more energy in winter to keep yourself warm than in summer. Where most of your body’s energy goes to the “basic body processes.” These processes, for example, help you breathe and keep the body at a temperature. After 20:00 these processes will continue and so you will also need the energy after 20:00 to be able to perform these processes. “Okay, so after 20:00 I can still eat 4 Milka Oreo chocolate bars and not be fat?” That’s right. If your energy needs are 2220 kcal per day then you do not need to get fat from 4 Milka Oreo bars. Provided, you have not consumed anything else the rest of the day! Remember that the energy balance is always leading.

Do you want to influence your body weight? Then you should first gauge your calorie intake. You can do this by keeping track of your diet (weighing) and entering it using a nutrition app.

As you know, our pick up locations must be closed by COVID-19. However, a healthy meal is important. We have therefore decided the following:

We deliver to your home 3 times a week!

Our deliverers naturally keep an appropriate distance, wear masks and gloves. As before, we are very careful and tidy when preparing our meals.

Indicate with your chosen meal prep which evening suits you best. We will contact you by email about a more precise time that you can expect us.
